One fee tied to what we collect, agreed before we start.

Billing costs that change every month make planning hard, especially when the surprise charges come from your billing company. Medcor bills in your OCHIN Epic system for a fee tied to what we collect, agreed up front, and works to get your claims and wrap payments paid.

Where Billing Costs And Revenue Slip

  1. 1Check-In
  2. Claim
  3. 2Payment And Wrap
  4. 3Billing Invoice
1At Check-In

Eligibility Errors At Check-In

A wrong plan or a missed eligibility check at the front desk becomes a denial weeks later, and it keeps happening until someone fixes the intake step.

2At Payment And Wrap

Wrap Rules That Drift After Upgrades

Claims only go out right when the PPS, wrap and sliding fee rules in Epic match how your health center is paid, and those rules need checking after every upgrade.

3At Billing Invoice

Fees That Weren't In The Budget

Setup charges, report fees and per-claim add-ons can turn a billing contract into a monthly surprise for your finance team.

One fee, based on what we collect, agreed before we start.

How Medcor Works In OCHIN Epic

We work in the Epic system your health center already uses, so your providers and front desk keep the screens they know. Medcor has set up billing workflows in Epic for several health centers, including the rule engines for wrap payments and sliding fee discounts, which we build with your finance and IT leads.

When Epic is upgraded, our staff go through the training and pass on anything that changes billing. Every denied or unpaid claim gets reviewed, denial trends are tracked, and the appeals that need to be filed get filed, with a monthly summary of what is causing them. If enrollment is part of the problem, our credentialing team works alongside billing, and our FQHC billing page covers the rest of what we do for health centers.

What You Pay For

Our fee for full revenue cycle management is a percentage of the revenue we collect each month, so it moves with your collections instead of with a list of add-ons. Anything outside the agreement, such as a custom report your EHR can’t produce, is agreed with you before the work starts, so it never shows up as a surprise on an invoice.

The Support Your Team Gets

Billing support should feel like part of your own staff. Here is what working with Medcor includes, on top of the claims work itself.

For Your Finance Leaders
  • A Dedicated Team With A Supervisor And Lead

Your health center gets its own Medcor team, led by a supervisor and a lead who learn your payers, your sites and your history.

  • A Month-End Report Card

Each month you get your KPIs against benchmarks, with the analysis behind them and a plan for anything that slipped.

For Your Clinics
  • Service Hours That Match Your Clinics

Our team works the same hours your health center is open, so billing questions get answered while your clinics are running.

  • Front Desk And Provider Training

We train your front desk on eligibility and registration in OCHIN Epic, and we give providers coding feedback as trends show up.

For Your Patients And Compliance
  • A Patient Billing Line Answered By Medcor

Patients call a toll-free line staffed by our team, and we handle their billing questions the way your own staff would.

  • HRSA Site Visit And UDS Support

We answer revenue cycle questions during HRSA operational site visits and pull the billing data your UDS tables need.
